The Romanian Orthodox Church is organized as Patriarchate, with the title of the “The Romanian Patriarchate”. The Romanian Patriarchate comprises eparchies (Archdioceses and Dioceses) grouped in Metropolitan Sees, as well as some other units inside and outside the Romanian frontiers.
The Romanian Patriarchate
The Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church is His Beatitude Patriarch DANIEL, elected on September 12, 2007 and enthroned as the 6th Patriarch of Romania on 30 September 2007.
The Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church is the Archbishop of Bucharest and the Metropolitan of Wallachia and Dobrudgea.
His title is: “His Beatitude DANIEL, Archbishop of Bucharest, Metropolitan of Wallachia and Dobrudgea, Locum Tenens of the Throne of Caesarea of Cappadocia and Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church or the Patriarch of Romania”
